Some general facts about upgrading include the following:
- Most end-users will not have the necessary skills or permission. IT support is recommended.
- The person running the installer will need to be a local admin on the client machine and will need to be granted the db_owner role on the server.
- Database updates are applied to the server from the client machine during the client application upgrade. It is not necessary to upgrade the server separately.
