"String or binary data would be truncated" on updating Transfer Codes.

Problem:

On updating Transfer Codes in eNICQ, the message "String or binary data would be truncated" appears and the Transfer Codes update fails.

Solution:

This problem is caused by a structural difference in your transfer codes table.  It will require that a script be run against your eNICQ database to correct the table.  This procedure should be performed by a DBA (Database Administrator) or similarly qualified IT professional.  The script must be run in SQL Server Management Studio with db_owner level rights or higher:

USE enicqdb;

GO

ALTER TABLE tblLUTransferCodes ALTER COLUMN [CenterName] [nvarchar](100) NULL;

GO

Once the table has been corrected, please re-run your Transfer Codes update.
