Question:
How do I set the PHI Submission status for my center?
Answer:
You need to be an administrator in eNICQ 6 to perform these actions.
If your center enrolls in PHI submissions for more robust Nightingale Time Series charts (see the Nightingale Users Guide for more) you will need to enable PHI submissions in the eNICQ 6 client application. If your PHI Submission status does not match what we have on our end you will get a message in eNICQ 6 notifying you that data is not being submitted to VON from eNICQ 6 until it's been enabled (or disabled if it's on for you but not for us). The Data Contact and the VON Services Administrator will also be notified about then when you are enrolled in PHI submissions to VON.
To enable PHI submissions you just need to log into eNICQ 6 and click on the Advanced Menu Options (the gear icon in the top right). When that menu opens select Center Management:
Then click the appropriate center so it's highlighted in blue and click the "Set PHI Submission" button at the bottom:
On the next screen click the "Enable PHI Submission" button:
Finally, run a batch validation by clicking on the Advanced Menu Options (the gear icon in the top right). and selecting Batch Validate. Please keep eNICQ open for at least 30 minutes (or until the orange batch validate banner disappears if you are using eNICQ 6.2).
If you ever unenroll in Nightingale Time Series reporting or have enabled PHI Submissions when you are not enrolled (eNICQ 6 will give you an error message when you open it saying your PHI status is incorrect) you will need to return to the same location but this time click the "Prevent PHI Submission" button:
