eNICQ 6 - Login "cannot be found" But Works to Log Into Member's Area

Reported Issue: 

After installing eNICQ 6 with VON Logins you receive the message below when logging in for the first time.

eNICQ 6 login error,Login failed,The login you have entered cannot be found

Resolution or Workaround:

Try to log into Member Portal.  If you can do this, you should check permissions to the VON Folder.

    1. Go to c:\ProgramData\VON (note: ProgramData is a hidden folder which you may need to make visible to find)
    2. Right click on the VON folder
    3. Select Properties
    4. Click on the Security tab
    5. Confirm that you have Read and Execute as well as Write permissions.
    6. If you do not have these permissions, request assistance in getting them.

 

Root Cause: 

eNICQ users must have "Read and execute" as well as "Write" permissions to the c:\ProgramData\VON folder because the import and error logs for eNICQ will be saved.
