Reported Issue:
User receives a File Rejection email after uploading CSV or XML data file. There are multiple error messages you could receive regarding this so if you have any questions feel free to contact VON Support by emailing support@vtoxford.org or calling (802) 865-4814 ex. 240.
Resolution or Workaround:
The Vermont Oxford Network accepts two different file formats (.csv and .xml), both of which must adhere to their own structural rules. File format description for .csv submissions can be found in Appendix A of the Instructions for Electronic Data Submission documentation.
The XML Schema Definition (XSD) file used in validation of XML file submissions can be helpful in creating your XML file and can be found at the following link:
https://www2.vtoxford.org/xml/data/combined.xsd
A sample XML file can be found at this link:

Troubleshooting Tools
For both XML and CSV files, it is important to be able to view the file in an appropriate viewer. Both file types can be opened in Excel and other spreadsheet programs. This will make XML files far easier to troubleshoot.
